Meet Maureen
McCoy, O.D.

Dr. McCoy received her doctorate degree in Optometry from UC Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from UC Santa Barbara. Her education includes a wide range of studies encompassing the following: binocular vision disorders, low vision evaluation, anatomy, physiology, physics, chemistry, microbiology, neurology, systemic and ocular pathology detection and pharmacology.

Dr. McCoy established Sausalito’s first Optometry practice in 2004 and joined Sonoma Eyeworks Optometry in 2005. Dr. McCoy is a member of the California and American Optometric Associations, the American Academy of Optometry and the International Rotary Club.

Dr. McCoy and her husband John live in Sausalito with their two cats Annie and Niklas. The McCoys are avid sports fans and love the game of poker.
