Be our guest!
When we designed our reception area, we knew we wanted to create a space where our customers would feel like guests in our home. So we were happy to hear that our reception space has received praise in the January 2015 edition of Invision Magazine. The article, "Benchmarks: Best Reception Areas" cites six eyewear businesses around the country that have transformed the waiting area of old into a place where customers feel like welcomed guests.
In fact, it seems even the term "waiting room" is out of fashion, though we've never thought of our reception area as a place for waiting. Rather, we want our customers to feel comfortable to come in to our office to browse through and try on different looks in eyewear. We are proud to offer a selection of fashion eyewear that you’d have to drive to San Francisco to find, so it was important to strike the same tone in our office’s cutting-edge design.
More than just a pretty face, however, we also want to take a moment to emphasize that when our clients are ready for a new look, we have the most highly trained staff of opticians to help them find just the right pair of eyeglasses. Sonoma Eyeworks® owner and optometrist, Dr. Harmon, also believes in investing in the latest eye care technology for our on-site optometry lab, and we recently added the Optomap retinal exam, which allows our optometrists to look at the health of your retina, a new option in eye heath care that we are glad to be able to offer as part of our comprehensive eye exam.
If you live in Santa Rosa or other towns around the North Bay, please give us a call — your eye health is important to us, so make an appointment and come check us out!
Invision magazine excerpt:
Sonoma Eyeworks®, Santa Rosa, CA
Comfy armchairs in muted and calming colors, a blooming orchid and a glass-topped coffee table piled with magazines welcome people to the center of this practice near California's wine country. Display cases replace a monolithic reception counter, and even the adjoining onsite lab and exam room have windows out into the rest of the practice. "The waiting area was designed to be the focus of the showroom," says Cindy Harmon, who co-owns the business with her husband, Dr. J. Michael Harmon.
